New Residents

On Behalf of the mayor, alderpersons, and staff of the City of Juneau, we would like to welcome you to the city of Juneau. We would also like to provide you with some information below that we hope you will find beneficial, and we are always willing to help you if you have any questions.

Our population is approximately 2,810 residents. We have a mayor, 6 alderpersons, and a city attorney. City Council meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month and are always open to the public.

Real estate property tax statements are mailed approximately the first week of December each year with the first installment being paid to the City of Juneau Treasurer at City Hall located at 405 Jewel Street. Electric, Water and Sewer bills are mailed directly from Juneau Utilities and can be paid at 100 Lincoln Drive, paid online, mailed, or put in their drop box. Pet licenses as well as other permits and licensing can all be paid for at City Hall. Pets will need to be licensed within 30 days of residency with an updated vaccination, and renewal of licenses will be due by March 31st of each year.

If you are intending to do any type of remodeling, installing a fence, etc., please contact our building inspector at 920-382-6202 for questions. We have the applications for permits on our website and also at City Hall.
